Tackley Playground Grand Opening – 13th June 2014
Tackley Playground Project is a small project group committed to the redevelopment of the playground area in Tackley. Through grants and the community helping to raise funds, The Tackley Playground Project has been able to make a great accessible and inclusive playground for all young people to use. Members of the Committee consulted with pupils from Tackley Primary School, Bardwell School and staff at the Let’s Play Project to ensure the community and young people who would be using the playground had a say in what they would like to see in the new inclusive park. The playground includes a tractor play area, a zip wire, swings, climbing equipment, roundabouts, sensory boards, a trampoline and a net swing. There is also a disabled toilet including a hoist and a small shop.
The grand opening of the Playground took place on Friday 13th June 2014 and the Core Staff Team from the Let’s Play Project were invited along to the exciting event. The local MP for the area, Prime Minister David Cameron officially opened the playground and had a chat with us about what Let’s Play do. The event was a great success and we would like to thank Vanessa Langton and the rest of her team for inviting us to the event and well done for all your great efforts to make the whole project happen.
