Philip Coy ran the London Marathon in aid of Let’s Play

Philip Coy ran the London Marathon on the 26th of April in aid of Let’s Play.

Philip says “I have been running for 31 years covering over 47,000 miles in training. I have run 500 races for my club including 9 marathons of which 5 were “London’s”. I gained this years place through running “good for age” at the Stratford Marathon in 2013. In all this time I have only ever asked for sponsorship twice. Now I am 60 and I expect this marathon to be my last I would like to go out on a high and raise as much as possible for this great charity.

For the past 5 years my daughter Lois and other friends have worked for “Let’s Play”. The stories of their work and the fun that the young people have whilst in their care made me want to help as well.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to Philip for choosing to support Let’s Play in this way, through online donations, Gift Aid and sponsorship forms Phillip has managed to raise over £1000. If you would like to donate please visit his Just Giving page
